# Creating Your First Campaign

> Step-by-step guide to running your first signal-based campaign in Sentrion

## Before you start

Make sure you have a Sentrion account at [app.sentrion.ai](https://app.sentrion.ai). Every new account comes with 500 credits.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a new campaign">
    1. Click **Campaigns** in the top navigation bar
    2. Click **+ New Campaign** (top-right)
    3. You'll see an empty campaign with a **Search Companies** sidebar on the left
  </Step>

  <Step title="Describe what you're looking for">
    At the bottom of the left sidebar, find the **"Use AI to generate filters"** text box.

    1. Type a natural language description. For example: *"Find SaaS companies hiring for sales leadership roles"*
    2. Click the **send button** (purple arrow icon)

    The AI analyzes your prompt and automatically configures search filters: job keywords, signal scoring criteria, date ranges, and exclusion terms.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the AI-generated filters">
    After a few seconds, the sidebar populates with optimized search parameters:

    * **AI Signal Scoring**: enabled with criteria that match your search intent
    * **Signal Date Range**: set to the last 3 months by default
    * **Job Keywords**: relevant keywords extracted from your description
    * **Exclude Keywords**: terms to filter out irrelevant results

    **Always review the generated keywords** before running your search. The AI may include terms that are too broad or ambiguous, leading to false positives. Remove any keywords that could match irrelevant job postings, and add exclusion terms for common sources of noise.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run the search">
    1. Check the **"New companies to find"** field (default: 50)
    2. Click **Find Companies**

    A status bar appears showing "Searching... Enriching firmographics" with a loading spinner. This typically takes 1-5 minutes depending on filter complexity.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Explore the Companies tab">
    Once the search completes, the **Companies** tab shows your results:

    * **Score**. AI relevance score (1-10) for each company
    * **Match Reason**: why Sentrion flagged this company
    * **Keywords Matched**: specific job terms that triggered the match

    Click any company row to open the detail panel with match insights, funding data, job descriptions, and more.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the Signals tab">
    Click the **Signals** tab to see the raw job postings behind each match. Each signal shows a score, the job title, company, location, and a snippet from the job description.

    This is where you see the actual evidence (the specific job postings that indicate buying readiness.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find people (optional)">
    Click the **People** tab. Initially empty, you'll need to add Find People:

    1. Go back to the Companies tab
    2. Click **+ Add Enrichment** → select **Find People**
    3. Describe your target contacts (e.g., *"VP of Sales or Head of Revenue"*)
    4. Click **Generate** → review the AI-generated job titles → click **Add Column**
    5. Click **Find People** on each company row to discover contacts

    Found contacts appear in the People tab with name, title, LinkedIn, and enrichment options.
  </Step>
</Steps>
